Germany is the third of the big ranges
of Subbuteo teams (after Italy and France). There were large numbers of German sides in the
catalogues of the early 1980s - with the usual range of interesting
spelling. I've tried to sort this out as much as possible. Please note
that there were also six East German teams advertised, which I have placed
in a separate table. Only FC Schalke seem to appear in the later united
German list. For this reason, they are listed in both tables.
September 2002. Many thanks to Luca Landoni, who has taken the time
to double check this list - resulting in some corrections. Chief among
these is the fact that 157 was not a Hamburg kit, but instead was FC 08
Homburg Saar. They played in the Bundesliga for three seasons in the
1980s, and were described as the "smallest town in the Bundesliga
History".
August 2004: I've highlighted the teams that appear in the German catalogue produced by Schnipp & Schuss in the mid 1970s. You will notice that Schnipp and Schuss do include some teams more than once.
