The Team Colours Project.

References 301 - 400.

The years covered by these one hundred numbers are approximately 1980-83. Having previously covered most of the teams in Subbuteo's export market countries, these numbers see a return to England and Scotland, and deal with redesigned kits, often with only minor trim changes. It also sees an increase in the trend for fancy away kits. The main exception is the range of French teams 336-348, enlarging, and replacing those at 137-148.

This is also the point where heavyweight/zombie production stops, and the new lightweight figures become the standard. The main changeover occurs somewhere around 322. Certainly I've seen the home international sides 317-321 in zombie, and heavyweight, whereas 324-326 tend to be handpainted lightweights. However, heavyweight production does seem to creep up to 359. The England kit at 329 is one of the first machine painted lightweights issued - and usually comes in a World Cup 1982 box (which were the first boxes to display the whole team).

By 1990 393 is darker, and 397 has changed socks and trim.

398 Sampdoria always looks the same in the catalogues, but 15 years of production have seen variations. The figure on the left is a 1980s version with shorts and sock trim. The figure on the right is mid 1990s, with white socks, a clearer badge, and a plain blue shirt back. A Scudetto version also exists.
